Why did Dagen Mcdowell say “Shut your mouth”?

Dagen had some trouble with the Republicans and had lashed out to them saying “Shut your mouth”. They were allegedly publicly criticizing Trump.

She spoke about the controversy over Nordstrom’s recent decision to pull Ivanka Trump’s line of clothing and accessories from its retail and online stores. Dagen Mcdowell used the hypothetical Racist “Scenario” to defend the Trump family by her statement saying,

“But I think that it’s unfair because she’s not the president. She’s a family member with the same last name,” she said,

she also said,

“And if it was any other family — female family member — of any other president in modern history, this move would be called wildly sexist if not racist.”

President Trump came to defend his daughter

Although the company had claimed that it was because of poor sales but Nordstrom brushed off this statement and claims politics is the reason behind last week’s move. The decision rilled U.S. president Donald Trump so much that he tweeted on his official Twitter account saying,

“My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!”

When it was asked what the president thought about the retailer breaking ties with his daughter’s company, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said,

“It’s more a personal attack on his family than the business.”

According to Sean Spicer-

“He ran for president. He won. He’s leading this country. I think for people to take out their concern about his actions or his executive orders on members of his family, he has every right to stand up for his family and applaud their business activities, their success,”

According to McDowell’s comment, less than a month after America bid farewell to its first black president, nobody acknowledged how Trump’s presidency and businesses will bring the unprecedented potential conflict of interests to the White House.
