She earned her bachelor's degree from Algonquin College. She joined Fox News in January 2004.

She had her debut children's book series Freddy the Frogcaster published in 2013. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2005, and has since become a public advocate for MS awareness.

She and her husband Sean, an FDNY firefighter, share two sons named Matthew and Theodore.
